I discovered that a bird was nesting on our fire escape and started making plans on how to make it go away and before I even finished my thought - she went ahead and laid her eggs. So now, I find myself trying to accommodate her instead. I check on her every day to see if the eggs are hatched and I even made Jelsen put our plant next to her so she can get some shade during these beautiful sunny days we are experiencing. What I don't really understand is - why on the fire escape when there is a gorgeous tree in full bloom only a few feet away (that is meters in euro-terms)?
Because she barely moves, I've only counted 2 eggs so far, but I had a dream there are 4, so stay tuned for updates! (And maybe some great recipes...I said MAYBE.)
